This LGBTQ+ Affirming Care Training course, facilitated by Heidi Schults, MS, LPC, LMHC, ADHD-PT, offers comprehensive education aimed at fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for LGBTQ+ individuals. Participants will explore key concepts such as gender identity, gender expression, the significance of pronouns, societal constructs, and unconscious bias. Through reflective exercises and practical guidance, learners will enhance their awareness of internalized biases and privilege, develop strategies for effective allyship, and understand best practices for affirming care in professional settings.

Heidi was born and raised in Wyoming. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and received her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2019 from the University of Wyoming. Heidi has a passion for helping others learn how to show up and be their best selves while living their authentic lives cultivating a therapeutic partnership and identifying obstacles to one's goals. This could be connecting with their partners on a deeper level or to help people explore one's identity(ies).
